Liked: Everybody was incredibly friendly at the Calverley Arms, booked a very last minute trip up to see a friend in Calverley and was ready to have an average night. When I got into the room I was blown away with the size and quality, it was a real treat to the end of a small trip up North perfectly.

Liked: Good parking, quiet area
Disliked: The, “Customer Last” approach to service. Perhaps it is bad training, bad management or lack of funding but it appears that none of the staff have stayed in another hotel. Service is slow everywhere and the staff look so over stretched that they can’t be bothered even when there are manageable amount of customers. The breakfast set up is absurd.

Liked: Room clean, comfortable and cool during very hot weather. Staff were friendly. Location was good. Generous portions of food.
Disliked: Staff were very helpful but they were 'rushed off their feet!' They did their best but there were queues out of the door waiting to buy drinks. You were expected to wait in this queue to check in and also be taken in for dinner. Service was slow. We waited 30 minutes to be served our drinks and 45 minutes for our meal. Owners/managers need to employ more staff.
