Located less than a minute's walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras Railway Station The California is located in central London. This charming and modern hotel offers a 24-hour reception. The 60 stylish rooms are spread over 4 floors in the Georgian townhouses which feature original staircases halls and windows. The rooms have a private bathroom a radios and a TV along with a safety deposit box and tea and coffee making facilities. Great location but not worth...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, 2 minutes walk from Kings Cross station. The hotel staff were all lovely, welcoming and polite. We could leave our luggage with them before and after our stay which was a great help.
Disliked: The hotel is in need of a refresh. Our room was on the 4th floor and we had to walk four flights of creaky and very uneven stairs, not the easiest with luggage. Our room whilst surface clean, needed a deep clean- the bathroom particularly. The room, whilst serviceable, was in desperate need of renovation (particularly the bathroom) and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Liked: Everything was exceptional right from our check in to our check out. The Customer Care of Emma and the Ladies is fabulous and the room we stayed in was perfect
Disliked: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Useful for Eurostar departures

Liked: Proximity to St Pancras.Our room had a terrace
Disliked: The bed resembled a slab of concrete!Being charged something like £12 for a vodka and tonic.
