Liked: The Brown Hotel is such a beautiful historic icon. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. Our room was clean and comfortable.The Brown Rose wine was fabulous!.

Easy access from the freeway....

Liked: Very beautiful and historic building.
Disliked: The rooms could have used a little bit of TLC.

From the moment we met...

Liked: Amazing quirky property. Curtis & Amy @ reception could not have been more helpful and attentive. Lab the shuttle bus driver was superb guiding us around the town ( yes the shuttle service is amazing) . The room was very comfortable and breakfast had so many options .
Disliked: Nothing a real surprise stay

Disliked: TERRIBLE experience overall due to an unauthorized use of OUR VEHICLE by the valet parking attendant. We arrived at 6 PM with two vehicles and handed them off to the valet named Simon. We checked in, went to our room and straight out to dinner at 6:30 PM. When we returned to the hotel around 10 PM, the valet, Simon, WAS SITTING IN OUR VEHICLE WITH THE CAR ON AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO. He had no explanation for why he was hanging out in a valet parking spot across the street from the hotel with our vehicle running listening to music. Beyond that, the management did not apologize. They listened to our complaint. Did not apologize for Simon‘s behavior. Did not admit that this was not standard valet behavior. So I took the keys to both vehicles from the hotel and self parked and paid the self parking rate. I was shocked by the terrible customer service of the entire hotel staff in not admitting that this behavior was not acceptable and no apology.Beyond that, the rooms are old, dated & dark.I would never recommend this hotel. SAD.

Liked: Not recommended. This is a dingy hotel (pictures not accurate) in a crime ridden area. The staff are young children with no training, no concept of customer care, and no authority to make decisions. This hotel is a swirling pool of mediocrity, chaos, filth.
