A lovely place to stay...

Liked: The quirky maze of rooms on many different levels and its decor and general ambience made the Black Bull far more attractive than a modern hotel. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our two dogs and made us feel very welcome with them. The food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent.
Disliked: There was only one vegetarian dish on the restaurant menu, although that was excellent!!

Disliked: I felt the rooms weren’t quite as nice as they looked in the photos - bathrooms a bit institutional and mould around bathtubI had a Superior room No bar type food so only fine dining Cleaning staff were a bit rude . Very small tv in the wall . Toiletries not great and no body lotion.

Wouldn’t eat there againBreakfast was nice good quality food but no specialist tea available and only filter coffee offered
