Passable

Couldn’t have been more perfect....

Liked: Brilliant location and plenty of parking. Our room was in the main building which was clean and spacious. Staff were lovely and they checked us in early too which was really appreciated.
Disliked: It’s an old building and with that comes character so expect a few creaky floor boards and wonky bits.

Liked: Liked the location it's a nice old building.
Disliked: Food was average for the price and music in the lounges too loud.

Rudeness

Disliked: Not being informed when booking in about breakfast being only 7 - 9 on Monday, the 14th, due to the electricity possible going off.We were rushed to order breakfast, then when my husband apologised, saying we were going by the time on the website, the member of staff was rather rude, saying don't believe what's on there 👎 not very professional, up until then our stay was perfect

Very disappointing experience over dirty...

Liked: Location and parkingStaff response to our concerns about lack of housekeeping in the bathroom of 2 rooms we used.
Disliked: We arrived late and, in the morning, found that our toilet and shower has not been cleaned from the previous occupant.We raised the issue and ask for a new room when we came back later that day, but when we checked our new room, the bathroom was worse than the first room plus one of the cups had not been cleaned, we raised the issue with the staff who came and cleaned the bathroom and checked the rest if the room, we have since received a part refund on our 3 night stayNot what you expect to find when you stay at a hotel-very disappointing

Liked: Bed was comfortable
Disliked: The toilet was absolutely filthy. The walkways, windowsills, outside lamps were dirty. The internal doors of the bedroom were dirty. The place is rundown. The floorboards on the rooms above squeaked so much when anyone above moved around. If you have a dog you get your breakfast served in the bar which had absolutely zero ambiance, a bit like eating breakfast in an empty cafe. A very poor hotel experience

Superb

Liked: Great location with parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu was exceptional so much to choose from. Lovely outside areas to sit in. Our room was very cool which was perfect in the very hot weather. Room a good size, bed comfortable. The bear has a lovely ambience.
Disliked: Shower curtain fell on my husband. And we had a downstairs room with very loud people above, but that's the hotels fault.
