Originally built in 1777 for Thomas Hart the Bank House Hotel has a great location right in the heart of Uttoxeter's town center. All that this charming Staffordshire market town has to offer is nearby and Uttoxeter Racecourse is within walking distance. Alton Towers is just a short drive away. The hotel maintains original features including a fine unsupported oak staircase. Bistro 1777 is a restaurant within the building housed in the original bank vault. Wouldn't stay again .

Liked: Location . En-suite very nice. Clean.
Disliked: It just need updating . Very tired thread worn carpet . No spoon . Hangers on door . Noisy fire doors banged shut.

Did it's job for one...

Liked: Bed comfy, bathroom clean and shower was good.
Disliked: Floors dirty, furniture old and worn down, TV didn't work. Carpets on stairs and landing is so old and dirty and worn away - yes the hotel is 250 years old, but they can modernise it...!!No breakfast option, hotel so warm, no fans to cool the room down. Just old and worn down - wouldn't stay again.
