Hotel Description
In the center of Uttoxeter this beautiful Georgian building was once the town's first bank and now offers free parking a bar and 17 individually decorated rooms with attached bathroom. Originally built in 1777 for Thomas Hart the Bank House Hotel has a great location right in the heart of Uttoxeter's town center. All that this charming Staffordshire market town has to offer is nearby and Uttoxeter Racecourse is within walking distance. Alton Towers is just a short drive away. The hotel maintains original features including a fine unsupported oak staircase. Bistro 1777 is a restaurant within the building housed in the original bank vault. Free private parking is available on site.

Not worth the money, should...

Liked: Location to Alton Towers
Disliked: Very old fashioned property, many problems with our visit. I'm 6'2" and I cracked my head off the very short bedroom doors. The beds were so uncomfortable and hard, we hardly slept. Very dated and stale smelling property. Even my children complained about the beds.

Very poor

Liked: Location and parking
Disliked: Cleanliness was poor and hotel in need of a refurb. The bin in our room hadnt even been emptied from the last visitor and the lino in the bathroom was peeling and some panes in windows were cracked.
