Historic Charm Meets Music-Lover Convenience in Downtown Seattle

Modern elegance with a touch of literary flair, The Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel Seattle blends boutique luxury with unbeatable city-center convenience. Just a five-minute stroll from the vibrant waterfront and the Seattle Ferry Terminal, this character-filled hotel is walking distance to major attractions like Pike Place Market, Lumen Field, and the Seattle Art Museum. With stylish rooms, a beloved whiskey bar, and thoughtful amenities, it’s a sophisticated base for any music-filled night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re perfectly positioned for a night of live music—just minutes from top venues like Lumen Field and Paramount Theatre. After the encore, walk back to your room in under 15 minutes. The 24-hour front desk makes late-night check-ins smooth, and the hotel’s boutique vibe ensures a peaceful recovery space, even in the city’s rhythm-filled core. The in-room Wi-Fi and honor bar add to the comfort, whether you’re decompressing post-show or getting ready for the next one.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want to stay close to the action and share a stylish space
  • Solo travelers checking off a must-see artist
  • Couples planning a romantic concert weekend
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery in a more refined setting
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want location without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Bookstore Bar & Cafe is a music-lover’s dream: wall-to-wall whiskey, monthly scotch tastings, and cozy book-lined interiors. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar stays open late for a nightcap. Morning coffee and tea in the literary-themed lobby is a welcome touch after a night out. You're also steps away from downtown Seattle’s diverse food scene, with late-night bites within easy walking distance.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you're just blocks from Seattle’s buzzing nightlife—from intimate jazz clubs to legendary rock halls. After the show, head back for a drink at the Bookstore Bar or explore nearby lounges and craft cocktail spots. It’s the perfect mix of energy and elegance.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel’s excellent location, welcoming staff, and unique character. The boutique feel and walkability to top attractions make it a repeat pick for travelers. The whiskey selection at the bar is often noted as a standout, and many mention the clean, comfortable rooms with just the right amount of Seattle charm.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel’s historic building means rooms can vary in layout and size. There’s no on-site parking, so plan ahead if you’re driving (valet and garages are nearby). No live music inside the hotel, but the city’s scene is right outside your door.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers seeking boutique style, walkable venues, and a peaceful place to wind down—The Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel Seattle hits all the right notes.

We decided to make The Alexis our "go to hotel" while visiting Seattle. The staff was beyond helpful & so pleasant. The location was perfect & the hotel is quiet & small. Even our little dog was well treated. She loved the doggie biscuits at the door!

Liked: Staff was the best
Disliked: Pillows could have been better

Wonderful staff and the room...

Liked: The location is just 1.5 blocks from the ferry landing, deep in the heart of downtown. The area is very walkable, and we felt safe even walking late at night. There's a courthouse or some other major law enforcement building very close by, so there was a police presence, and that may have helped. Our room was one of the largest standard hotel rooms I've ever stayed in.
Disliked: The building is historic and a bit of a maze to navigate. All the furniture in the room - beds, chairs, sofa - is a little lower to the floor than usual, something to consider if you're an elder and a bit challenged by standing from a low position.
