Fantastic
Liked: The staff were amazing, the room was clean and the restaurant food was absolutely amazing. We would go back just to have dinner there. The atmosphere inside and outside was great.
Disliked: Nothing

The best place in town...
Liked: Great Location, great architecture and ambience, Utterly fantastic Top quality food, great included Breakfast, very friendly and helpful and very young staff, free included parking, large rooms
Disliked: We stayed in room 4 the 4 poster bed room which turned out to be facing the main high street. It had a lovely 4 poster bed but the mattress was appallingly bad- an utterly awful Mattress - simply the worst I've slept on in a long time - Travelodge and premier Inn beds are way more comfortable I found it hard to sleep on it and the Pillows weren't much better. You would expect at £140 a night that they would do better than this. The ancient furniture was great to look at but had doors and draws that were sticky to open. The floor boards creaked like an old ship wreck. The ancient bedroom sash windows barely opened and were single glazed and did not shut out any noise so you were kept awake by every passing drunk or exuberant Youth or car - on Friday til 2 am. The TV was Tiny and impossible to watch from the bed due to the 4 poster posts getting in the way. The Bathroom had no Bath, and the shower was too low and I (5'10) had to bow to get under it. The shower controls were also very difficult to use. The bathroom Sash window was painted permanently shut, and the blind had to be pulled all the way down to preserve any privacy or dignity. The toilet roll holder needed to be at least 8 inches further along the wall so as to make it easier to use. The bedroom windows had no proper curtains and the blinds were relatively translucent so that it was impossible to block out sunlight or street lights. I emailed the Hotel prior to the payment being taken twice to verify if there was a bath and how to park as it wasn't obvious from google maps, and got no reply. When we arrived in our car, the car park was blocked by the owners car and we had to double park until I spotted a narrow gap and squeezed our car into it and the impression given was that parking was not reserved for guests only meaning that if you went out for the day you might not get a space when you got back, forcing us to change our plans.
