Pretty average

Liked: Breakfast was quick.
Disliked: The room was ancient and very tired. The bathroom was terrible. It was cold with an iffy heater.

Liked: My favourite stopover in the Borders. Always a warm welcome for me and Bess the Labrador. Good food, friendly staff and pristine clean rooms. Good value for money too. First class all round. Brigadier Charles B Telfer CBE and Black Bess of this parish

Liked: The staff were very friendly, always checking I was okay, made sure I had no problems at all while I stayed despite the fact that was very, very tired and probably not very coherent. Breakfast was superb although I was the only one there which meant they had a far easier time handling me. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy.

A relaxing stay in a...

Liked: The Tankerville Arms is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the property was full of character with a cosy, open fire in the bar area. My room was well equipped and ideal for a solo traveller. With a very comfortable bed and the quiet, peaceful location I slept amazingly well. The breakfasts and other food which I had were freshly cooked with generous helpings and different options were available. Good on-site parking.
Disliked: Nothing really, I enjoyed my stay thoroughly.
