Cheap, clean hotel.

Liked: Close to Kings Cross international station so easy on feet with luggage. Comfortable basic bed and plenty of tea and milk. Clean and acceptable for the price paid. A slow but helpful lift takes the effort out of getting upstairs. Great Indian tandoori restaurants nearby and one with a pleasing £7 meal deal.
Disliked: Noise could be an issue for some as traffic is constant but ear plugs make it ok and it is central London. I managed a good 8 hours sleep. No noise from other rooms. Shower ok if you’ve encountered this type of English shower before. Once you master the twin curved sliding doors you will never worry about it again.

Liked: The staff are very warm and welcoming. The location is good, but it is also very, VERY noisy.The decor was pleasant enough, but our room was quite a tight squeeze. The beds were comfortable enough.
Disliked: The noise from outside (traffic, screaming children from nearby homes, building work, thundering deliveries or rubbish collection at all hours). Not a good night's sleep. The noise from inside. Sadly the room above Room 23 was inhabited by the noisiest people it's possible to imagine, stampeding up and down their room repeatedly, including at 6 a.m., it was like living under a rodeo. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The top of the tiling was thick with dust, and the shower itself had a half-used and open bottle of shower gel. The grout round the tiles of the shower had that orange blush of a particular mould - very unpleasant. The carpet was incredibly dirty. The curtains were both poorly and partially secured to the curtain rail. There was some rubbish from a previous tenant in the room.

I had no problems or...

Liked: - clean and comfortable - smart tv in the room I have booked (believe me this is a plus)- polite and friendly staff- fair price for location and service
Disliked: - Check out time too early, the cleaner has opened the door to clean while I was still in the room without knocking - just one toilet paper in the bathroom, could have at least one extra
