This met our needs of...

Liked: Quiet area near GSMNP. entrance. Good value. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast and dining area. On the river with balconies. Parking available.I would recommend it to people visiting the park each day.
Disliked: This is an older hotel with traditional, simple amenities— no extra enticements. A bit of a long walk to the shops and restaurants but you could use the tram.
