SureStay Hotel by Best Western Tehachapi

Room was basic and quiet....

Liked: Location and price was very good. Breakfast was simple and similar to other hotels. WiFi and TV services very good.
Disliked: Carpet had stain in center of room.

Liked: The front staff was nice
Disliked: The room was not clean. Hair in towels, carpet not vacuumed around nightstand and tight spots, shower soap dispenser dumped handful of soap with very small squeeze (3 people, soap gone in 2.5 days}, TV didn't work 80% of time (others were complaining in lobby and employee acted surprised) other friends in other rooms had same issue, older Asian lady (manager?) spoke to me like I was a child when another employee instructed me to place my belongings in a secure room while I waited for rental car, don't plan on eating much breakfast because it was always gone and they never had replacements (eggs, sausage, juice) and the waffle maker was 'do it yourself' so one person would take up to 4 minutes each to make their waffles in the machine, no restroom in lobby, Jacuzzi water jets were perfect but the water was slightly green, with blue tile no less. Laundry machines were 1 person at a time and 20 years old

Disliked: We had to switch rooms because of television technical difficulties. But the second one room's television was fine.

Liked: I appreciate the chance to stay in Tehachapi to break up a long drive - it's a beautiful area with beautiful back roads and lots of rail history. I take the back roads down from the pass. This place is an affordable option for a stay.
Disliked: Can't think of anything - guess I would have liked more towels in the bathroom...
