Super 8 by Wyndham Raleigh Downtown South

The rooms are disgusting; the bathrooms looked like a horror movie; the A/C didn't work; the lights didn't work; people were fighting and SLEEPING in the parking lot. I could keep going but I would be writing forever. Not to mention the customer service was absolutely terrible. I've never written a review before but I felt like I needed to. If you're staying in Raleigh STAY AWAY FROM THIS SUPER 8! We didn't even stay the whole night; we left at three in the morning because we just could not pull ourselves to stay.

Disliked: Everything was awful about this stay.

Our room had missing blankets; the AC didn't work so the room was 80 degrees; they were dirty. We had a roach climb across the TV. Police were there because there was a domestic violence situation right outside. We felt so unsafe, so we hurried.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Everything.

The room stunk to the high heavens. I should get a refund! I had to leave early - couldn't sleep in a roach motel!

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Roaches; constant noise; construction men beating door.

Liked: The bed was soft and firm
Disliked: The overall room was gross the floors were sticky and the bathroom was gross, the room smelled of absolutely nothing but weed in it.

Disliked: Roaches in the room. Stains on sheets and curtains, mold in bathroom, pillows was very uncomfortable, tv would not half work it kept loosing signal

Disliked: floor was dirty. Doesn't seem like a 2.5 motel. Very noisy location

Liked: Location to downtown Raleigh was real close.
Disliked: I had an emergency and had.to leave a day and a half early, so I reached out to management and asked if I could be refunded for the last night that I wouldn't be there, and they said no due to their policies. An hour later management shows up with the housekeeper in tow, knocking at the door and asking if I was leaving. So let me get this straight, I can't get a refund for the night I won't be using the room, but your greedy self was ready to clear out the room and rent it to someone else?! Not on my dime you won't, the audacity of some business owners. So, I kindly closed the door packed my stuff, and left with the key to make sure they couldn't rent the room to anyone else till the time I paid for was up. I even came back on the last day and left the key on the dresser, because I have principals, and clearly this establishment does not.

Nice staff, decent location, and...

Liked: It’s a good “we’re going to be out all day and need somewhere to sleep” place. The staff is very nice but it’s not the best hotel you’ll ever stay at. The Mexican restaurant next door is a must as well.
Disliked: It’s not “dirty” but it could feel cleaner. I’ve stayed in rooms here with writing on the wall and heavy smells.
