Liked: The Location its pretty nice , so closer to everything.
Disliked: In the hall there is an Indian bar that makes hellish noise until very late at night

Paradise comes in many forms.....

Liked: The strand was an amazing place. It wasn't luxury - but it provided a good value for money bed right in the West End. Owner is a friendly guy. Staff all were happy and easy to work with. It's a tragedy that they were not able re renew the lease. London is the poorer as a result of the loss of this hotel!
Disliked: I loved everything about the Strand. I am depressed by it's closure.

Sad to say

Liked: The room itself was clean, basic and old school - exactly as desired - with all that was needed for a short night’s sleep. The evening receptionist provided a welcome glimpse of humanity
Disliked: The room was on 5th floor - many flights up, despite expressed concerns - but I managed it, thank you! This is a venture which has long lost its heart and its soul
