Liked: I stayed in a king suite and it was a pretty big room but it was a long room rather than big all over. I didn't mind it because it was still big anyway. The fridge and microwave were useful and clean. I wasn't aware how dog friendly the place is, i loved it and i know where ill stay if i visit san diego again with my fur baby.
Disliked: I stayed there for three days/ two nights and they didn't come not once to clean the room. Lots of positives but I REALLY didn't like that.

Liked: The bed was comfortable
Disliked: When I arrived just after 9pm for check in the person at the front desk ignored me for atleast 5 minutes and would not let me in. A homeless person was asking me for money and following me around outside the entrance. Another guest eventually walked past and let me in. The employee was on the phone and continued to ignore me. He didn't tell me he would be with me in a moment or anything, he just continued to glance around at the floor doing his best not to look in my direction at all. After several more minutes he hung up and asked if he could help me. After saying I was here to check in he told me there were people in front of me even though the lobby was empty and I had obviously been waiting for quite a while. Then he picked up a 2nd phone and talked to someone for a while before finally checking me in. I have honestly never had an experience like that before. I spent a night at a motel 6 and the front desk person was reasonably nice and did not ignore me when I came in. I really hope the manager takes a look at the security cameras from the night of my check in. About 9:04pmNo parking is also unique

Disliked: I loved everything about my stay and had no complaints

Great location, comfortable stay

Liked: The location is a very short walk from the convention centre, which was very convenient for my work. In addition, being in the Gaslamp area meant that there were plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby as well, and a good atmosphere.The room was clean and comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities, and I appreciated the water bar in the lobby, as well as the availability of drinks and snacks. The pineapple cookies were excellent!
Disliked: My room faced an inner courtyard, so was somewhat dark, but as I was out most of the day, this was a relatively minor issue.

Surprisingly nice hotel for a...

Liked: We booked the hotel mainly based on location and price and were presently surprised at how nice it is. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, and the price for the location and quality of hotel was great. The hotel "theme" is a little different, but we really grew to love it, will look for Staypineapples in other cities.
