Lovely hotel in the middle...

Liked: The hotel was clean and located in a great location for museums, Covent Garden, theatres, etc. Near an underground station and lots of buses. The staff were very friendly, helpful and obliging. The breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. We left our luggage with the hotel after checking out and returned later in the afternoon to collect, rather than trudging round London with suitcases all day! Would definitely go stay there again. Good price with breakfast in a good location. Bed comfortable and pillows not too hard. Lots of lovely coffee shops, restaurants and local shops around too.
Disliked: There was no lift which may be a problem for those not so good with stairs but it did not deter us. There are rooms on the ground floors if that was an issue ( don’t let that put you off!)

Exceptional

Liked: Well sorted, clean, comfortable, caring staff, good room, just great all round.
Disliked: Breakfast was good but not fantastic. Not really a complaint!

Liked: Clean. Good location. Great breakfast.
Disliked: Room in the basement with virtually no window and limited ventilation. Pricey.

Two night stay

Liked: The location is very central and convenient for walking to sights and shops and public transport. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The attic rooms and bathrooms are tiny and cramped. I am not very tall, but I could not stand up in the shower as the vaulted ceiling was too low. You have to climb three flights of stairs. The roof leaked on the stairs when it rained, which can hardly be rare in London.

Disliked: We had to ask about soaps almost every day, the staff didn't replaced the empties.

Convenient location; disappointing breakfast

Liked: 1 - The location was very convenient. Lots of stores around and also walkable to the Underground. It was also close to some major attractions, and I like that it was around university area. 2 - The room was considered spacious for the standard of London city center, however because the room was in a strange shape, we actually did not have adequate space to open up all our luggage.
Disliked: 1 - The carpet didn't feel very clean. 2 - The hotel included breakfast but the service at the breakfast was not good. The wait was extremely long and the breads were really burnt. Overall lack of attention to detail.
