Very disappointing

Liked: The room and setting were lovely
Disliked: Smart TV did not work and when asked reception they said there was a technical issue as the chrome cast would not work with an I phone. There was nothing on their website to warn of this. The evening meal in the restaurant was inedible the pastry on the pie was raw and the mash potato looked and tasted like it had been sat for hours and then reheated. The chicken curry was congealed rather than in a sauce and the chicken had the consistency of cardboard.

Avoid - probably no more...

Liked: The surroundings our outstanding and the manor house building which houses 12 bedrooms is lovely.
Disliked: Room: tired with missing drawer handle, marks on settee, marks on wall and flakey paint.Bar Staff: need training. Took 25 minutes to order 4 drinks and that is from the point we spoke to barman to finishing the order. It was painful! All staff very young and inexperienced. Also NOTE bar prices increase in the evening and policy confirmed by the staff. Residents bar closed at 10.30 on a Friday night without any noticiation of last orders!Restaurant: food extremely slow to be delivered, missing items on plate, tables left with dirty plates for significant periods of time, Asked very rudely to leave dinning room so that they could prepare breakfast of next day.Events maanager drunk on duty - so unprofessional, I have never had this experience before.
