A beautiful hotel in a...
Liked: The room was luxurious and the setting is beautiful
Disliked: The bar shuts at 9pm and the restaurant couldn’t accommodate me as a solo person

Excellent stay, would recommend
Liked: The room was very spacious, with a lovely bath and seperate shower. . The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included which was nice and made to order. Staff were attentive, I had a meal for dinner at the restaurant which was exceptional.
Disliked: Sadly the room upstairs were very noisy, playing loud music until the early hours. This is no fault of the staff, in fact when the noise was reported they dealt with it promptly.

Liked: The set up for the beds were romantic for when we arrived. The cleanliness was great. The breakfast was also delicious.
Disliked: The hot chocolate we ordered was too foamy and not hot enough.

Hotel was not great, spa...
Liked: Room was spacious, location was excellent and the gardens were great. Checking in and out was seamless with no issues.
Disliked: Our room in the Manor House would get very warm at night. Only one small window to let air in. The double doors out onto the private garden would not open and was informed it was for “health and safety reasons” despite it being on the ground floor and we had the key for the doors already in the lock. The fan we had in the room would rattle when turned on but staff were quick to give us a second fan that worked.Breakfast was not great. Waited 30mins for some scrambled eggs, despite it being fairly quiet in the restaurant, before giving up and having some cereal instead. Waiting staff weren’t interested in helping.There was also no dedicated person to help in moving luggage from/to the car when checking in and out. The reception staff were helpful in going out of their way to give us a hand themselves and a trolley from the kitchen but surely there should be a doorman that helps guests with their luggage?Overall, not a great stay, especially for our wedding weekend. The spa may be better, but can’t comment as we didn’t use the facilities.
