Good centrally located hotel with...

Liked: Good central Grimsby location. Friendly staff. Free secure parking. Bar.
Disliked: Rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade but we knew that before we booked. Prefer king bed to double bed.

Adequate for what we needed

Liked: The location was perfect for us for meeting for a birthday meal and quite central for us seeing family who live local. The room was a good size, bed was a bit too hard but that’s my preference.
Disliked: It’s very undated. When running the tap in the sink it was not draining well and was almost over flowing whilst running the water to get cold water.Also took a while for hot water to come through for a bath.

Central but unusual and unsettling...

Liked: Central location, and fairly clean, pleasant friendly staff.car parkbut felt like staying in a hostel, bicycles in lift etc; and sadly lots of disturbance in the night in square at front. I did not feel very safe as a woman travelling alone. Minor faults in bathroom eg broken fan, plug and toilet flush.Wouldn't stay again.
Disliked: Like a hostel with lots of young permanent residents,.Bit scruffyNoisy , at front homeless folk and at rear loud generator.

Excellent value stay

Liked: Very good value room rate. Welcoming reception staff. Convenient location.
Disliked: Room was hot with seemingly no way to change temperature. Two hairdryers in the room, one didn't work and other had plug fitted that wouldn't fit the socket due to where located.

Reasonable for the price, but...

Liked: Convenient location for a work visit to the town. Pleasant and welcoming staff especially the restaurant staff. Good choice of food offered at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking availability.
Disliked: The hotel is beginning to look tired and due some refurbishment and updating but having said that, rooms are maintained clean. I had to change rooms due to generator noise from outside which was outside the hotel’s control. Second room overlooked the church courtyard which appears to be a public thoroughfare resulting in periodic during the night and the early hours. Room was too warm despite radiator being turned off and the window is restricted to opening no more than 5cms. More ventilation required.
