Great place to stay for a night; staff polite; great location.

Liked: Bar open 24 hrs and restaurant. Staff polite and helpful.
Disliked: Food on arrival - fish and chips in up stairs restaurant over cooked.

Convenient location lousy elevators

Liked: Excellent location. Very Clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Nice bar & restaurant on site. Close to cafe's restaurants, public transportation and within walking distance to the British Museum (well worth the visit. No ticket? Go around to the back entrance; you'll get in even late in the day).
Disliked: Elevators - They are very small for such a big hotel. They are very slow for such a big hotel. There are 4 elevators but only 2 were working. The elevators stop at EVERY floor, even when the elevator is full and no one is waiting to get on at the lower floors. Most of the time we walked down to the lobby from the 4th floor. Leaving with a suitcase was a night mare - it took me 20 minutes for an elevator with room for me and medium size suitcase. Make the investment to upgrade your elevators.

Disliked: The VQ restaurant recommended to us by the hotel and a 20% discount, added a 15% discretionary service charge. Hidden charge and sneakily applied without pre warning.
