Room for potential; but not...

Liked: Location, price & ease of check in; discount on food with stay
Disliked: No air con in a heatwave; top bunk missing discretion curtain at end; plug at bedside making unusual sounds constantly; no privacy from neighbours outside window while sleeping; noisy guests drinking in stairwells and in rooms

This is the second time...

Liked: It was good! Comfy beds, good charging facilities, interesting and chatty roommates, great staff, tasty food at Belushi’s bar and we had a very convenient toilet and shower in our room!
Disliked: The toilets flush in our room, wasn’t great and the toilets bowl was sort of dirty at points, as it wouldn’t always completely empty. And the shower’s drainage system wasn’t very good and on the first occasion I used it, overflowed into our room (this was fixed quickly by the hostel team, thanks) but I was very surprised and was cautious when using the shower after that.

Disliked: I was told I could leave my luggage at the hostel, but when I arrived, there was no space available, and I had to pay for external storage. I also never received the refund for the deposit, even after providing proof and following up. Lastly, a staff member at the bar was unnecessarily rude just because I took a photo of my drink. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Disliked: The bathroom lock was malfunctioning, and the washbasin tap would not turn off. There was excessive dust near the bed, and the upper bunk was too low, making it uncomfortable to sit on the bed. A cockroach was sighted in the bathroom. I will not be returning.
