SpringHill Suites by Marriott Memphis Downtown

Enjoyed everything about the hotel - no complaints.

Liked: Everyone from valet to housekeeping was very very friendly.
Disliked: Dust on the desk chair legs was visible.

Liked: The close proximity to attractions.
Disliked: The cleanliness or lack thereof in my room. There were visible stains on the couch and there's no telling where they came from. Also, the filters in the A/C were filthy.

Liked: Location , breakfast options, fast valet and informative staff and friendly
Disliked: The tub was creepy size of the shower and toilet area need to be bigger maintenance cleaner carpet and tub.

Lovely hotel close to the...

Liked: The hotel had a good-sized family room with a lounge with a sofa, the room had complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries. Breakfast was very good with a very good selection. The hotel also has an outdoor pool and is very central, with Beale Street and the FedEx arena only 20 minutes' walking distance

A comfortable place to stay...

Liked: The location downtown Memphis was good as long as you don’t go walking outside at night ( this is just Memphis). The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we had a very nice stay. I was thankful for the valet parking because my vehicle was placed in a guarded, safe place at night.
Disliked: The valet parking was quite expensive but much less expensive than my car being stolen (which is a common occurrence in Memphis) so I was happy to pay the fee

Our First Stay in Memphis

Liked: Lots of variety for breakfast...especially appreciated the quiche spinach/egg packages and fresh fruit.
Disliked: The room was fine but the lighting very sub-standard.The area was depressing as there were no stores except a Starbucks, a Walgreens and one nice restaurant The Flight and that was it. And there was NO dinner available at the hotel, so very few options of where to eat dinner unless one wanted to drive at night which we didn't.

Exceptional

Liked: Location was excellent. Nice walk to Beal Street and other attractions. Breakfast was great. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Pool (outside) needed some attention when we were there. But there were lots of other things to do.
