SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Airport

Hotel is nice, but noise from interstate and planes overhead was irritating. Elevators were not working. Staff was nice. They do charge a convenience fee which is not listed on. That was irritating since I only slept there. Pool was closed as well.

Disliked: I was charged a convenience fee upon checkout, and I did not use any conveniences. Convenience fee was not mentioned when I booked the hotel.

Liked: Staff responded to negative issues very quickly and offered solutions. Staff was very professional and friendly; the hotel was clean and the location was convenient.
Disliked: Fitness Center was undergoing a renovation and my room did not have hot water.

Some of the nicest and most helpful people are employed at this hotel. And when I left my favorite pillow, I called and they immediately knew my name, had my pillow and ready to ship it back to me. That is customer service!

Liked: Superior client service!

Liked: Great staff; clean rooms; comfortable bed.
Disliked: Two security guards woke us up at 3 a.m. to gunfire.

Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was nice
Disliked: When we checked in the key cards weren’t working so we had to be manually let in by front desk everytime! Our whole floor was extremely hot and our room took forever to cool down. There were no extra sheets for the pull out couch and was told there was none when I asked for some.

I would never stay here...

Liked: I liked that there were suites available to accommodate our large family. The breakfast was a decent hotel breakfast if you like yogurt and appreciate having dried fruit or granola to mix in. The airport shuttle driver was really friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: The hotel does NOT have a pool, and the airport shuttle is NOT 24-hr. The check-in process was long and elongated by slow and clueless staff. The first room we were given did not have a working toilet. The staff is rude and made my wife cry.

Disliked: you need to provide tv channel guides, either printed completed guides in the room or the guide on the remote.

Liked: Short distance away from the event I was attending
Disliked: Freezer had mold in it. I was double charged for the room and have yet to receive a call back from a manger regarding this. It has been a month already. When you call you get told they are too busy to handle it, no manger available. TV was also broken, when we spoke to the front desk the only help they offered was to make sure it was plugged in

Liked: Location to the ball parks & city.
Disliked: Location was under renovation which was not listed so they had no pool access. Rooms were very dated- ours had a broke lock, broken bathroom doorknob that wouldn't close or lock properly, stains & rips on the couch and floors. Breakfast was awful & never replenished. The lady whom worked breakfast chose "favorites" on who she gave items too. Front desk woman that checked us out was dressed very unprofessional; wild hair, stained clothes & you could definitely tell she wasn't wearing a bra. This location was not worth the price we paid to stay there.

Liked: The beds are comfortable.
Disliked: That when I booked the stay it didn't say nothing about the pool being closed for renovation was disappointed that it wasn't open.
