One of the nicest places...

Liked: Very friendly staff. Room immaculate Lovely place to stay
Disliked: I had the worst cabonara I’ve ever had in the restaurant- but the best garlic bread Next time I’m having a pizza. They looked incredible

Decent for the price

Liked: Good location and breakfast
Disliked: It was just too hot but not the hotels fault

Liked: Everything was great. There was a nice pub next door called The Rock which was handy and did nice cheap and cheerful food.

Nice hotel but you might...

Liked: Our room was ready well before our check in time. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy room, nicely presented & decorated. Bathroom also quite modern. Free carparking at rear of building. Double bed was comfortable and lots of pillows provided. Also bedside tables on both sides of bed and lamps fixed to wall. Good size tele with Netflix, although we didnt watch anything. Approx a 35min walk to town centre but im sure there's bus stops close by. A 12min walk to a small retail park where food outlets are such as Nandos, and other eateries. Also there's a tesco and sainsbury, cinema & bowling there too. Enjoyed the buffet style english breakfast with plenty selection, can even request a latte or cappuccino instead of the standard coffee/tea ;) There's an italian restaurant inside the hotel but we didn't eat there as menu looked a bit too pricey for us. But noticed a pub/restaurant on the corner of the same road of hotel.
Disliked: We requested a quiet room which was acknowledged via email but was given a room at the top of the stairs and adjacent to the restaurant/dinning room. So heard guests stomping up and down stairs during the day and night. Also was awakened up by staff hoovering the dinning area at approx 7.45am the morning of our departure, so wasn't happy:-/ Also heard hoovering the night before around 10pm while laying in bed! Room was very hot so had to have window slightly opened during our stay, even though we requested a fan, which provided very little air in our room. Bathroom looked modern, however, the toilet roll holder was positioned on shower wall and not near the toilet. No towel rails or hooks for towels although plenty were provided. Although floor was laminated, a nice rug beside the bed would have been lovely soft touch to the room. Finally, the saucers that came with the cups were stained, and the coffee cups themselves were on the tiny side.

GOOD

Liked: It's a hotel in an old building whose floor creaks a lot. But this, combined with slightly outdated furniture, gives the place a charm. The ladies at the reception were very polite and helpful. We recommend the restaurant with two hands. The hotel is slightly away from the center, but there is a bus that passes often and regularly. And one tip that the driver gave us, take your daily travel ticket, especially if you plan to go to the center several times.
Disliked: Updating the interior of the rooms a little bit. Make them brighter.

Friendly and welcoming

Liked: The staff were both plentiful and very very helpful. The restaurant was excellent, had an evening meal on the first night and breakfast two mornings, both of which were great served by lovely staff. It was very hot the two nights we stayed but when asking at reception fans were provided. My mother left something in the hotel room and when contacted they did not hesitate to say they would post on to us.

Good value for money &...

Liked: Strategic location & ample carpark spaces. Room is very decent size for my son & I. Good breakfast and nice settings. The hotel serve dinner as well but there is a pub, takeaways & convenient shop next door.
Disliked: My room was right above the front porch and I have to leave my windows open because it was a hot day. Despite the noise at night by the diners chit chatting downstair, I still managed to get a good sleep.
