Bed with walls rather than...

Liked: The shower was good and the products in it were really good. Also the two gentleman on the front desk were super friendly and helpful. Good location for Paddington station. Not so much for a walk around London
Disliked: I almost cancelled when I had to do KYC and download an app to book for just one night. I wish I had. The laughingly named bedroom has a small double bed surrounded fully on 3 sides with walls. On the plus side it is a custome made bed as I could have my head on the pillow and touch ther wall with my feet (I’m only 5’9” and to my knowledge that wouldn’t be a standard bed size. Trying to find plus points.

Comfortable hotel, perfectly located for...

Liked: The hotel was easy to find and relatively modern. For a solo traveller, the room was a decent size (I expected a lot smaller) and I requested a room that was accessible via lift so I didn’t have to struggle with my bags up the stairs. With the weather in London, a good air conditioner was a real plus! Location was excellent, especially for first time visitors to London and staff were friendly. Paddington Station is central and there was plenty to see/do within a few minutes walk of the hotel (cafes, pubs, Hop On Hop Off bus tour, convenience stores) and a beautiful park over the road.
Disliked: Rooms were a little tired (carpets), limited vanity space in the bathroom and due to the room design, the mini fridge was temperamental.

Good stay, minor issues.

Liked: Good area and close to Paddington station.
Disliked: We were in a lower room (L04) and the wifi did not work on the TV, could not get the Netflix to work. We contacted reception and to his credit, he tried for around 40 minutes to reset the TV and fix the problem with no avail. Little bit disappointing as the freeview channels weren’t great viewing.

Liked: Location was indeed excellent
Disliked: Space was just outrageously small. 2 people cannot stay here. Furthermore, there was just lots of random stuff that just broke or was wrong. For example, we couldn't get our lights to work, we go downstairs, and the front desk person tells us that that is a known problem, the main room lights were miswired and to turn the lights on you had to press the do not disturb button(???). One morning the hot water was broken.

Liked: Really great area and walkable to everything we needed.
Disliked: We had a lower level room which is fine. Unfortunately our window looked out onto air conditioners and radiators. This meant we couldn’t have our blind or window open because there was an absurd amount of heat coming through. We touched the window and it was extremely hot, meaning we could have no natural light nor fresh air during our stay. Be aware when booking lower level, doesn’t look like the pictures. We also had no where to plug in coffee machine / kettle other than bedside table. We booked this room thinking there would be a desk (as per pictures) for working, there was not, and we didn’t even have enough space on the ground to lay out our bags! Overall really disappointing for the price and not looking like the pictures at all.

Disliked: TOO MANY BOSSY EMAILS TELLING ME THINGS AHEAD OF TRIP AND TOO MANY FOILLOW UPS AFTER .ALL THAT MADE A SIMPLE THING, IE CHECKING IN TO A HOTEL , FEEL COMPLICATED AND THE DOOR CODE WAS LUDICROUSLY LONG . AND UNNECESSARY GIVEN THERE WAS A RECEPTIONIST ON DUTY ANYWAY. HE WAS WATCHING ME STRUGGLE TO FIND, THEN READ,THEN MEMORISE A LONG NUMBER WHEN ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS OPEN THE DOOR .
