Disliked: I recently stayed at this cozy hotel and appreciated its safe, convenient location—great for business travelers looking for a comfortable base. However, if you're a light sleeper or have any sleep issues, this may not be the best choice.The noise from the street was quite disruptive, especially at night. The hotel thoughtfully provided a white noise machine, which helped somewhat, but investing in soundproof windows would likely offer a much better long-term solution.My room was directly above the hotel’s main entrance, and every time the front door closed, it caused noticeable vibrations in the room—enough to shake the furniture. Installing a door stop or a soft-close mechanism could help reduce this impact.Overall, while the hotel has charm and is suitable for a short business stay, it’s not ideal if restful, uninterrupted sleep is a priority for you.

Trendy, well located, affordable stay!

Liked: Lovely vibe. Very chic. It’s walkable to the Gaslamp district in 10 mins tops and if you’re attending a conference it’s a 20 min walk to the Marriot. 30 minute walk to Balboa Park, too.
Disliked: I stayed on the ground floor and because the widows are thin, the road noise is very noticeable. Especially Friday/Saturday nights as they’re all playing music to boot. So if you’re a light sleeper, head up a floor, turn on the white noise machine and get some shut eye.

Good location and atmosphere, but...

Liked: The establishment's interiors created a pleasant atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth, and the location was convenient. The shower and bathroom amenities added to the comfort, and the free locker for luggage was a useful feature.
Disliked: The room is incredibly small, making it quite challenging to open my luggage fully without feeling cramped. There isn't a wardrobe for storage; instead, there are just a few hangers, which hardly meet my needs. Additionally, the lack of soundproofing is quite bothersome, as I can easily hear conversations and noises from both the neighboring rooms and the floor above me, making it difficult to relax. Overall, the accommodations leave much to be desired in terms of comfort and privacy.

Liked: On two occasions, the hotel staff went above and beyond to assist me with a small request. Their warm hospitality and genuine kindness made my stay in San Diego much more enjoyable and peaceful. Thank you!
Disliked: Not much to add here — the room was as expected, though the floor was slightly dirty. Slippers weren’t provided but would be a helpful addition! The neighborhood was rather noisy, but the hotel provided earplugs and a white noise machine by the bed.
