Comfortable & Budget-Friendly Stay Near New Jersey Concert Hubs

Modern and no-frills, Somerset Lofts offers a simple, comfortable stay in Somerset, NJ. Just 21 miles from Princeton and within easy driving distance of major New Jersey venues, this 2-star hotel is a smart pick for travelers looking for convenience on a budget. With clean, air-conditioned rooms, free WiFi, and friendly bilingual staff, it’s a great base whether you're catching a local gig or a full-blown arena show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Thanks to its location near key New Jersey highways, Somerset Lofts gives concert-goers easy access to top venues without the chaos of staying in a loud downtown area. The peaceful suburban setting is ideal for post-show downtime, and with a 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out, you’ve got enough flexibility to manage your show schedule comfortably. Plus, staff are available 24/7 to help with directions or late-night needs.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends road tripping for a big concert
  • Solo travelers chasing a once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples combining music and a weekend getaway
  • Fans who want a quiet place to crash after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who prioritize value and location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, Somerset Lofts is close to plenty of local eateries and fast food options that stay open late. Several diners and takeout spots are just a quick drive away—perfect for grabbing a bite after the show. Breakfast spots nearby make it easy to roll out of bed and refuel the next morning.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself doesn’t feature live music or a bar, it’s within reach of laid-back lounges and sports bars in the Somerset and New Brunswick areas. For those looking to keep the night going, there’s a solid selection of nightlife within a 10-15 minute drive.

What People Say

Guests frequently highlight the cleanliness of the rooms, the affordability, and the friendly, helpful staff. Many reviewers mention that it’s a great value for quick stays and appreciate the reliable free WiFi. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done—especially if you’re spending most of your time out and about.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests noted that the hotel could use a bit of an update in terms of decor, and there are limited amenities on-site. If you're looking for spa treatments or a full-service bar, this isn't the place—but it's solid for a short, music-focused stay.

The Bottom Line

Somerset Lofts is a clean, affordable, and quiet spot that’s ideal for concert-goers wanting a no-fuss place to rest after the show.

avoid at all costs

Disliked: Checked into 2 occupied rooms, sheets were stained, the deadbolt was falling out of the door, crickets all over, reeked of smoke, loud, head board looked like someone took a knife to it, the towels fall apart when you use them, no toilet paper in the room at arrival, the floor wasn’t vacuumed, the furniture wasn’t cleaned, no cell service, despite what the website says there is no breakfast just an empty room that has a sign that reads breakfast..

Terrible

Liked: Nothing, my room was nasty and grimy. Not to mention I had to kill at least 20 cockroaches. No room service. Refused to refund me. All other rooms were “completely booked”

Avoid this property at all...

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: On arrival just driving into the car park it was dirty with rubbish all over, people just hanging around. Parked the car and when checking in 3 males were seen walking to the car and looking into it, felt like they were casing the car. Inside the hotel smelt of hot food and cannabis. Generally appeared like people with social housing/care needs ( not their fault) were being housed there. The room had flies, filthy walls, filthy carpet, filthy fridge, smell in the room. Corridors smelled of hot food and cannabis and filthy carpet and walls. Awful throughout. Felt very unsafe and the place was that bad we took the decision leave with immediate effect and will seek a refund. The hotel isn’t fit for purpose for vacation destination or any other for that matter. If the owner feels offended by this review I would ask if you would stay in a place like this when travelling in a civilised country. I’m sorry the whole place was disgusting and felt unsafe. The photos advertised on Booking.com bear no resemblance in cleanliness etc to this hotel. Holiday makers avoid, avoid, avoid.
