Excellent.
Liked: Staff always friendly and accommodating. Mark, Naomi, Rick and Marco very nice and helpful. They gav e prosecco when we arrived and loved the lounge area as always.
Disliked: Lounge stay open longer but due to covid, it understandable.

Good
Liked: Room was nice and clean, other guests were respectful about not jamming the elevators, etc. Overall, a pleasant stay.
Disliked: Upon arrival we had to wait in line for more than an hour to check in. I assume this had to do with coronavirus measures/additional health forms, but it seems that there might have been a better system in place to prevent this logjam from happening when many new guests are expected to arrive between 3 and 4:30 on the Saturday of a holiday weekend. Our stay was good, but it did not get off to a great start....

Small rooms, no service and...
Liked: Rooms are quite small and cozy but the lighting is off. You have the option of having a small lamp on the bedside table with dim light on or the ceiling reflector-like lights that make you look and feel like you?re staring directly at the glory of God. In addition, though this hotel is in SOHO, it?s not in a nice part and the closest intersection is dirty and full of sketchy stores. Not worth a $400 night. I run out of space in the negative box so I had to include this here
Disliked: Room service is practically non-existent. I ordered food and I had to go all the way downstairs and meet my Postmates at the door cause they wouldn?t receive or bring food up to your room. Similarly, once I got my food I realized they hadn?t sent utensils. I needed a fork and called guest services; no answer. I called reception and same. I called the food line and finally someone answered and promised to bring me a fork in 20 mins. After 40 mins I called again and asked for a fork and they said I?d have to wait another 30 if I wanted a fork so I just knew it wasn?t happening. Changed out of my pjs and into my clothes, went downstairs and asked the receptionist to give me a fork, which was also quite annoying cause she wasn?t listening when I talked to her and asked me twice how many forks I needed (I was the only one at reception, it?s not like it was busy)
I also called reception (from my cellphone cause I figured out it?s the one and only way to get through) and asked for a late checkout. The guy who answered said it wasn?t possible, which is ok - no biggie (Vday after all). However, he worded it like this: ?First of all there?s no late checkout today, we?re fully booked?. That?s all he said. There wasn?t a second of all or any further comments. Now, I don?t know much about hospitality but I?m sure there?s better ways to reply than first of all (?).
Last but not least, when I went to check out with my bags and all the girl at reception was also rude which I think at least shows they?re consistent. No ?good morning?, ?did you enjoy your stay?? Nothing. She said: yes? I go: hi, I need to checkout. She goes: I can?t hear you. Mind you, we?re wearing masks, music is playing loud in the background (stupid move) and there?s a glass between her and I. As I?m opening my mouth to repeat myself she goes again: I CAN?T HEAR YOU! Well, of course, young lady. That?s cause I haven?t even had the chance to say anything. All in all, rude people for a perfect NY experience.

Disliked: Maybe because of COVID no gym only 2 restaurant had to ask for toiletries a couple of times no daily housekeeping unless you asked which we found out on day 2
