Very good

Liked: Great views and plenty of water bottles at front desk to stay hydrated. Also, it was nice to be able to check bags at the front desk given the late departure from the city.
Disliked: The key to our door did not work properly. Had to try several times before it would unlock.

Hotel is totally rundown, unfriedly...

Liked: Location and housekeeping staff
Disliked: Everything else! Management & reception staff are some of the worst, like really horrible. The whole hotel is totally rundown and definitely not hygienic. Everything is too old, 70s furniture with 90s and early 2000s mediocre devices. Rooms are really really bad

Staff is always helpful and...

Liked: We have stayed here 3 Thursdays in the last month and are very happy we found SoHo54. The location in SoHo is excellent for our concerts at The Bitter End in NoHo. The price is excellent for a quick run into NYC overnight. The staff is always pleasant, the rooms are clean and larger than many we have stayed in in NYC for 3 times more. They have bottled water available at the desk that you can take any time you are going in or out. Complimentary coffee is also available 24/7. We have stayed there for $137 taxes included. Obviously, prices vary but if you are looking for a clean, no frills room with a comfortable bed and nice shower, SoHo54 will meet your expectations. I don't know if I would want to stay there for a week but overnight to go to a concert in that area...SoHo54 is the perfect hotel for us.
Disliked: This hotel has a gym but no other real amenities to speak of. This has not bothered us at all as our stays have been one night only. I think they have a bar but we have not visited it.
