Great place to stay with...

Liked: Location was great. Only 1.5 blocks from the Boardwalk. No issues.
Disliked: Nothing could have been better considering the age and size of the property.

Liked: The owner/manager is supernice. It is outdated but it was expected for the terrific price. It was clean. Great location if you are looking to be right in the heart of Wildwood. Great place if you're on a tight budget.

Disliked: Everything was spot on I couldn’t honestly fault anything and I stay in hotels 2-3 times a month on business.

Decently clean, bring your own...

Liked: The manager was very welcoming and kind. The location is great. No issues with parking. Air conditioner worked well and the bathroom was clean.
Disliked: The Skylark was on par with most other motels I’ve stayed at in Wildwood. Overall you can get a comfortable night sleep, but don’t plan to relax/enjoy your room. My biggest complaint was a big yellow stain on our mattress cover. There were also hairs on the cover that indicated it hasn’t been washed. I imagine it can be tough to keep up with turning rooms in peak summer season, but I’m really hoping that it’s standard to remove and wash the mattress cover and that this was just an oversight. Either way, I’d recommend bringing your own fitted sheet to put over the flat sheets that the motel puts down (the more layers between myself and the stain, the better). The bathroom was clean, but there wasn’t a single hook or outlet available. Even a small command hook would make it easier to hang towels and bathing suits.

Liked: The motel was located two blocks from the beach and boardwalk. There were also bars, restaurants, and breakfast spots within walking distance of the motel. The staff was very friendly. We were arriving ahead of schedule so I called and asked if an early check in would be possible and it was.
Disliked: The motel was dated and could use a facelift. The beds were not the most comfortable but they served their purpose. There was only bar soap and shampoo in the bathroom, luckily we did bring extra toiletries. But overall, the motel met my expectations.
