Not great

Liked: The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Disliked: One sink no hot water, telephone had no cord/not hooked up, no TV remote, lamp not working, had to seat ourselves in restaurant but food was good. Huge loud celebration going on and kids running a muck, not a pleasant meal. Sign outside said free breakfast for all guests but none available. Restaurant not open till 3pm on Sunday. Dated and rundown. Won't be going back.

Liked: Room was a little dated, but clean and had all the things needed to travel. I was impressed with the size. No breakfast offered.
Disliked: The morning staff member didn't impress me. She was sitting at the desk (not sure what she was doing) no one else in the lobby. I had to get her attention that I was checking out. She said ok what room. She continued to sit, so I had to ask for a receipt, as this was a business trip. She said, oh ok, got up looked at the computer, said oh they show that it will be emailed to you. I then left. NEVER got a receipt emailed.

This hotel is basic and...

Liked: The bed was fine. The junior suite concept is good. Having a bar restaurant attached is convenient (but it closed very early). The hotel provides an airport transfer and the driver was very friendly.
Disliked: This hotel is in dire need of a remodel. It's very 80's-ish. The sign outside mentioned free breakfast with stay, but the front desk told us the restaurant is a separate entity to the hotel and they don't offer free breakfast. The restaurant wasn't even open for breakfast in the morning. Pool area was yellow-tape closed. There was a very strong cleaner smell in the elevator.

Okay for a quick stay...

Liked: The location was good for what I needed while in Portland.
Disliked: The room walls are paper thin. The staff is not very friendly or approachable.

It was pleasant

Liked: The room size was nice and the staff were all pleasant and accommodating.
Disliked: It's very hard to get into the parking lot it took us 1/2 waiting on airport way at 6:30 at night because people were getting on 205 to go to Washington. Water pressure not so good in the shower and the carpet was stained and wrinkled, maybe new mattresses would be good too.

Liked: We got there at 4:30, waited 45 minutes to just talk to someone. While we were waiting, a customer got her key to a room, came back a few minutes later saying the room was not clean. They apparently were short handed. We decided to cancel and try some where else. I did call Shilo Inn to cancel but they told me to call Bookings.com
Disliked: Sorry, everything I wrote above is what I didn't like.
