Swanky Hotel in a Great...
Liked: The location is great and the rooms are very nice. They also allowed for (very) early check-in. For the price, it was unfortunate that the body wash was empty in the shower, but the large tub was appreciated. I did not swim, as it was in the early 70s and mid-60s in January, but the pool looked nice as well.
Disliked: A charge for over $250 showed on my bank account days after my stay. I was hung up on by the automated system after having to select several options to learn more, and when I called back, the guest services attendant said they could not help and transferred me to the same system that had hung up on me. If this happens, select the option to not be recorded (you will understand if you have to navigate their automated system). They ultimately stated it was just a $260 hold, but this excessive "hold" was charged three days after checking out, which after years of traveling for work, I understand is an uncommon hold protocol. The young man who works at the gift shop also scared me away not long after entering. He would not leave me alone and kept approaching me and saying things in a somewhat aggressive tone that suggested innuendo. And he invaded my personal space when I tried to enter an aisle to end the (one-way, unwelcome and disquieting) conversation. It unexpectedly made me feel very unsafe, even in a public space, and was uniquely unsettling.
