Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel

Really nice looking hotel. Outdated, scary elevators that must be used to get to the parking area. Terribly annoying construction outside started early and didn't stop. Awesome pool top area with great views of downtown. Update the garage elevators and nix the construction and all is peachy.

Liked: Very nice rooftop lounge/pool setup on 9th floor!
Disliked: Loud construction noise started at 8am! Right outside room. Pretty annoying.

Great location; friendliness; handicapped showers were terrible - floors would get very slippery; more comfortable beds; need benches outside for people to sit. But the staff was the best - fun and very welcoming. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Give them your credit card...

Disliked: I prepaid for the room through booking.com. The property took my credit card for incidentals and then charged me for taxes and fees a second time. When I brought this to the Sheraton's attention, in classic scam fashion, they said not us, talk to booking.com. Booking.com, for their part, said it's the Sheraton's fault, can't help you unless you can show me a bank statement with the charges (Credit card statement not adequate. Who pays for a hotel by direct bank transfer? If you do, then you may have more luck recouping inappropriate charges). So I am out $50, and would rather not deal with either of these companies again.
