Shakespeare Hotel

Very good

Liked: We had a pleasant stay at Shakespeare Hotel London, Paddington. The location was ideal—just steps from Paddington Station and close to Hyde Park. The staff were friendly available on the reception & the room was clean and comfortable, We didn't try the continental breakfast for a review of a nice touch. A great base for exploring London.
Disliked: 1. Laundry Facilities 2. Toiletries and Room Services to be more lineant refilling to be more attentive and cautious

Liked: Location only. They store luggage before and after check in which is very handy
Disliked: Staff, stairs, no aircon, lack of lift, no help from staff, construction out the front.

Disliked: Felt like a seedy hotel. Staff were miserable. Room was super tiny, very hot, window had no safety mechanism, no ability to lock it and we had scaffolding outside so anyone could get into the room. Bathroom so small I kept knocking parts of my body. Needed updating.

Comfortable, quiet, cosy and convenient

Liked: The beds were long and super comfortable. Had a restful sleep. The lounge was comfortable and the leafy location was quiet at night. The fridge and fan in the room were most welcome during the heatwave. The breakfast room had plenty of choice of cold and warm options. The TV was big. The location is so close to Paddington station and underground yet so peaceful. Nice grand furnishings in the communal areas.Being able to leave my bag all day before and after check-in and checkout. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The climb to the 4th floor was exhausting in the heatwave, I was out of breath, but I hadn't checked if there was a lift so this was my fault. I would've really struggled with those staircases if I'd had heavy luggage.I would've liked air conditioning as it was hard to get off to sleep at first during the heatwave but it was good I could open the sash window wide. The decor in the room was dated.

Paddington is a lovely and...

Liked: Breakfast was basic, but the staff were lovely. Location is one minute from Paddington Station.
Disliked: The absolute worst shower. A lot of stairs to carry up luggage. Hotel staff were not very friendly.
