Some good points and bad as above.

Liked: Food was good; friendly staff.
Disliked: Water not hot enough for a shower in the morning; kettle broken; decor very tired and in need of updating.

Wonderful

Liked: The staff were excellent and very welcoming. They explained everything clearly upon arrival. I love this hotel because the name caught my attention right away, and as a Persian, staying here made me feel proud of my nationality. The room was very clean, and overall, everything was great. Thank you guys
Disliked: I would have liked to have a new toilet roll in the bathroom, but I understand it’s not practical to waste a half-used one for every guest.

Liked: The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Lots of noise from out the back of the pub throughout the night which made it very difficult to sleep even with the windows closed. The bar staff were very abrupt and not very accommodating. Was woken up by said noise at 6am, not just from outside but from adjoining rooms, not great when I didn't need to be awake. Checked out as early as I could as I needed some quiet, even the traffic noise outside was better in comparison.

Liked: I had supper which was good. I don’t eat breakfast which is why I didn’t have it. The staff were very friendly & helpful
Disliked: The fire doors on the rooms shut quite heavily so can be noisy late at night

Great staff

Liked: The staff were very pleasant and the food was good, especially the breakfast. Did not feel as if we were being rushed at all. Everything was very relaxing.
Disliked: This is the second time we have stayed. The rooms are starting to look a bit tired and could do with a freshen up. All was clean but windows need to be checked as some did not open.
