A good stay in Camden

Liked: The air condition in our room didnt work, and they were quick to offer another room as they were unsure when the problem would be fixed. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked: We would have liked a bar or someplace to buy some good within the hotel after the restaurant closed (it closes early), but there are shops and a pub with food service right across the street so it is not a dealbreaker for us. Bigger towels would also have been a luxury.

Great room for a family.

Liked: The family rooms are great. Clean and really spacious with two big beds and a top bunk. It's across from a tube station which is so helpful when you are dragging tired kids home at the end of a long day. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The hotel is near neighbourhoods like Primrose Hill and Belsize Park but not in a beautiful neighbourhood. It is also near the very crowded, touristy and run down neighbourhood of Camden Town, which is either a big plus or a big minus. You can order and english breakfast there but other than that you need to go out for food. Some rooms are noisy.

Disliked: I booked a room in The Camden Town Hotel. The booking was for a standard room, and the listing stated a room of “20m2”, with an “extra-large double bed”. The photos of this hotel showed a certain boutique-y style of decor. Instead of this room, and indeed this hotel, we were given a room across the road, which didn’t match the listing I had booked, in a completely different hotel. The room is listed on Booking as the Camden Enterprise Hotel, a completely different listing. The room I was given was about 12m2, with a “normal” double bed, and very plain and functional decor. It was a completely different place, with a separate listing on Booking. I had actually avoided this hotel, as there were better options available.It wasn’t possible to change the room. The room was otherwise comfortable, and the staff were super-friendly and helpful. But it was not what I had paid for nor what had been advertised.. It is not acceptable to do a “bait and switch” like this. Be warned!

Pleasant

Liked: Not like on photos, hotel has changed. Rooms much more basic now and no cocktail bar. Very clean room but was next to large kitchen fans, that was the ‘view’ out of our window.
