Lovely little Camden hotel

Liked: Good sized room, good facilities and very comfortable bed.

Disappointing

Shockingly bad.

Liked: There was nothing to like but the aircon on a hot day. The hotel was in the middle of a renovation- this was not mentioned when I booked it. It’s an old pub with rooms- not really what I would call a hotel. The lobby was a mess- unfinished painting, a vacuum cleaner abandoned outside our room, the ceiling’s wiring exposed. I’m sure none of this was to code. I wrote to the manager and received a terse and unapologetic reply.

Liked: The location was ideal for my needs. Welcoming staff member on reception
Disliked: My room wasn’t ready at 3p.m as agreed but the lady on reception was kind and offered me a drink while I wait.The television didn’t work in my roomI missed not having a kettle in the room but appreciated the water.Other guests do let the fire doors in the corridors outside slam shut in the middle of the night, so sleep is interrupted

Superb

Liked: Excellent property, lovely staff and very clean room. Would highly recommend, the team also kept my luggage until my later flight after check out which was much appreciated.
Disliked: The bath extractor fan is a little bit noisy and a please be quiet sign after 2300 would be nice in the corridor.
