Great staff; great hotel; would stay again when in Birmingham.

Liked: The room is very clean with personal locker.The bathroom is in the room, only shared with roommates.The room is new and clean.
Disliked: I hit my head to the locker at night.

Liked: It was noisy, such that we hardly slept. As though there was a maintenance crew working throughout the night. It’s tiring to say the least.

Nice staff, good feel, but...

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful and the environment was welcoming. Didn't notice any noise from neighbours. There is a nice style about the place, but in the need of a freshen up.
Disliked: Water in sink and shower was cool/luke warm both in the evening and morning but usable. The room faced onto a railway line and the windows offered little insulation from the noise there, or from the large bar down the road. It could have been cleaner. You get what you pay for I guess, and the friendly feel went some way to make up for it, but I've seen the private rooms at full hotel prices previously - I would have been disappointed if I'd paid anything higher than I did.
