decent room at a decent...

Liked: The location is nice, room was spacious, the price was great for a mid winter hotel in the Camden area.With no staff on property when we arrived(usual for a mid winter hotel on the coast), the room key was easily accessible with directions to our room.
Disliked: The people next to us, were smoking marijuana around 11pm, and then around midnight they were smoking cigarettes. I understand it's not illegal in Maine to smoke up but its hard to sleep through for a non smoker. The smell came through the walls and it was did make it very hard to sleep. The dog barking right outside our door at midnight did not help, the owner did stop the dog, but it woke my wife up. I am sure this is not how it is during the summer, but in the winter with probably no staff on property, it wasnt the worst experience. But our neighbors could have been better.

Liked: It was close to town
Disliked: No one upon check in. It was October. And it was clear that they didn’t wash the bed linens

Very good

Liked: Great for the price. Had a lovely window view out to the bush with a waterfall running through it. Clean, spacious room that had a beachy feel to it. Would stay again next time I am in area.
Disliked: Stairs up to the apartment did not have winter grip on them so while it was snowing, lugging my suitcase up the stairs was a bit tricky as it was incredibly slippery. Would benefit putting grip on the staircase.

Superb

Liked: Breakfast not served, this time. Nice unpretentious decor - full of sailboats. Easy on the eyes. Great location. I’ve stayed here before (2021). Tried in 2022; but, motel was recovering from a fire.
Disliked: When I arrived - heater was blasting on high. Couldn’t go to bed until I had shut off unit and opened door, for quite a while. Not a big complaint —- unit delivered heat, when needed, very efficiently.
