Liked: The Desire Oyster Bar being in the hotel was the biggest perk.
Disliked: The side entrance was closed during my stay, and the Bourbon street entrance was not great for getting dropped off and getting cars to pick us up.

Liked: Old Hotel very clean we dined at the Hotel Restaurant very good.
Disliked: Not with the Hotel but the French Quarter in general.They have a real problem with Homelessness and Drunken Bums all over the French Quarter. We saw Homeless people using the Streets as a toilet discus ting.

Will never stay again.
Liked: Location is noisy
Disliked: Front desk was insensitive when connecting 2 separate continuous bookings. Upon checking in I was assured both were in the system. No issues. Then I get a call saying I had to come downstairs and my key card was disabled. This is how paid up customers are treated? Will never book there again or make a referral. Shame on Royal Sonesta

Beautiful, amazingly quiet hotel in...
Liked: Lovely quiet room in the heart of the French Quarter. Amazing that it was so quiet and comfortable just steps away from the madness on Bourbon Street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved it.
Disliked: A minor issue, but I left an expensive fleece hanging in the wardrobe by accident when we left. I asked a friend to pop in the next day to retrieve it and there was no trace of it, that was disappointing but not the end of the world and it was my mistake.

Liked: The hotel was in the centre of bourbon street and was ideal when visiting other attraction
Disliked: Prior to our stay the hotel sent an email requesting whether we would like to register for an upgrade to our room . We chose the upgrade to executive room which had robes breakfast and one alcoholic drink included. We understood the condition if available . When we checked in the receptionist knew nothing of the upgrade and it was only when I showed the printed off confirmation of the express upgrade that she then then went to seek advice from the manager. An upgrade was offered but not the one we had requested but the hotel did honour the daily rate shown. I do not see the point of the hotel sending out this express upgrade emails if they don’t follow through with it or even have knowledge of the request .

Nice hotel but you have...
Disliked: My colleague who I shared a room with still has not received her deposit (around $350) and it has been a month since we left. The hotel have not made it easy to sort this out either. The hotel is nice and great for the stay especially the location but this hassle has completely soured it.
