Royal Maritime Hotel

The hotel in general was nice and friendly, but when going towards the room I noticed how old fashioned and dated everything looked, like it needed updating from the carpet to the walls. In the room it was clean and tidy but everything was a little dated - it was like going back to the 70's. Personally I prefer a nice crisp clean look in the rooms but this definitely wasn't the case. I think this could be a really lovely hotel as the location is perfect but it needs a good refit. Considering what we paid for the room I was expecting more.

Liked: Clean as can be considering how old everything is.
Disliked: Very old fashioned.

Lived up to our expectations....

Liked: Excellent location for the Historic Dockyard. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Bar temperature was chilly.

Great value for money and...

Liked: Although the room iis a little tired decor wise the bed was comfy and the facilities great.
Disliked: Decor getting worn

Comfortable but pricey.

Liked: Clean rooms, close to the dockyard.
Disliked: Expensive

Liked: We stay here every year. The food is great . The staff are fantastic and they are all very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: There isn't anything we dot like

Clean central hotel - staff...

Liked: Central - nice bar and breakfast area .
Disliked: My only recommendation would be to put a grab handle in the bath when stepping out as felt a bit slippy
