Royal Esplanade Hotel

Catching up with friends.

Liked: Location is fab. Nice area to sit and have a coffee or utilise the bar area. Easy access to rooms.
Disliked: The parking was expensive as on the road but got a weekend ticket so didn’t have to keep getting another one.

A noisy, dated hotel with...

Liked: A lovely historical building on the seafront with lovely staff.
Disliked: Having a seafront room, should have been lovely. However, there are trains, hovercraft landing, and the road used as a drag racing strip through the night. The single glazed window does nothing to block out all that noise. The room was very big and could have been beautiful, but the dated and sparse furnishings altered the experience. The hotel itself could do with updating, but I knew that from the pictures, so no big surprise.
