Royal Clifton Hotel

The website indicated that breakfast was included. When the booking was made breakfast was excluded. The reception staff was going to query this and get back to us - she never did.

Liked: Comfortable room; clean; good views.

Shocking!

Liked: The only good thing about the hotel was the shower. It had great pressure.Nice fluffy towels.Walking distance to the sea promenade and shops.It once was a stunning g building.
Disliked: *Waking up covered in bed bug bites!*Lipstick on a wine glass left in the room from the night before.*Very noisy bathroom fan, on constantly, no method of turning it off.*Very bright floodlight shining directly into the room all night. Glowing around the curtains.*Scaffolding taking up all the disabled parking bays.*We were not informed of the ongoing repair works prior to booking.*The genetal state of disrepair of the entire building.*The heavy bedroom doors which were hard to open, also, you knew when other customers were going in and out of their rooms due to the slamming of the doors as they entered or exited their rooms.*The toilet roll holder, not man enough for the job.*No staff on reception. Had to wait a while to book in. * Staff were outside smoking, and where difficult to get hold of when needed.*The photos are nothing like the actual hotel I was expecting. *The bar closes at 10!!!!

Liked: The hotel is well situated near the gardens along the front and main shopping area is nearby. Our double room had a great view of the gardens and the sea.

Liked: Staff where great. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect value for money.
Disliked: No heating on in rooms, was pretty cold. Could be doing with another pillow haha overall had a good experience.
