Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa

Lovely location but bar and...

Liked: It was in a lovely location and the grounds were fantastic, the reception staff were really friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The breakfast was appalling along with the service in there, having to wait 20 minutes for tea and toast before being served one of the most disgraceful omelette attempts I’ve ever seen in my life. The staff on the bar seemed very inexperienced and easily flustered which made getting drinks at the bar a chore.

Liked: great breakfast. Lots of choice and excellent coffee. Room was spacious and comfortable, dinner was served in a pleasant area.
Disliked: some maintenance issues eg windows needing repair

Liked: The location and facilities were fantastic. The spa facilities were especially good value and so clean. Bar is a little on the pricey side, but all hotels are now.
Disliked: The cooked breakfast menu has a limited choice included but a full English is an extra £5 thought that was a bit cheeky.

Perfect location for exploring Chester.

Liked: Lovely room with French windows leading to garden. Perfect for dogs. Excellent breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Small bathroom
