Great quality B&B, comfortable and...

Liked: Excellent overall. Spacious clean room. Excellent cooked breakfast. Property in good condition throughout. Check in communication from property very good. Easy parking on street nearby but only free 6pm - 9am so have to buy a pass to park during the day. A 48hr pass from the B&B cost £10.
Disliked: Room was quite hot, had to leave the windows slightly open most of the time. Duvet was too thick for the temperature, could do with thinner summer one.

Disappointing experience

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: Price. We paid £148 for one night room only. I appreciate that there was an event on however this was still excessive in my view. Two weeks ago we stayed at Hotel Indigo in Durham for an event. There were more faciliilties for a similar price including fabulous breakfast. The room was comfortable but simple and very small bathroom. Really didn't like not being able to get a table for breakfast before we set off on a long journey because cafe was so busy. We waited for half an hour but still no table available.

Liked: Excellent location, only a short 10 min taxi ride to open air theatre.. Lovely old building.. Clean, beautifully decorated. Great facilities within room, tea coffee etc.

Great accommodation with delicious breakfasts.

Liked: The managers were incredibly helpful and listened and acted on our concerns. Claire goes out of her way to provide a good service and ensure guests are happy.
Disliked: The twin bedded room in the eaves where the bathroom is tiny was totally inadequate for my husband who is 6’3”. When Claire heard about our concerns after our first night she moved us to much better accommodation for our other two nights which we really appreciated.
