Liked: Breakfast is well worth paying for. Good choices and ambience. The location is really amazing, and the history of the building goes back 1000 years.
Disliked: Dinner menu should include more non-grilled choices. Add some salad dishes.

Liked: I have stayed a few times, and its always been OK but there is a need to renovation the hotel rooms, the carpets are old and in poor shape. The bathrooms need updating. Not good

Disappointing stay - I won’t...

Liked: The manager was very helpful when i wasn’t happy with my meal.
Disliked: I ordered steak and salad. The steak was as tough as old boots- even with a steak knife I had to saw at it to cut it as it was so tough. The salad looked like it had been thrown on the plate. A big tomato cut into quarters, lumps of red onion and lettuce with a few pieces of pepper - no dressing. The manager did very kindly refund this and offered me another meal free of charge. Breakfast was ok but I could only get a filter coffee. In this day and age you think they could offer a cappuccino or latter or similar. The bedroom I had was also very cheap and nasty furniture and looked tired. The television had 3 watchable channels - BBC1 had picture but no sound. A very disappointing stay. The main building was a lovely structure but obviously trying to do it on the cheap.
