Good,but could be so much...

Liked: History, old world charm
Disliked: Staff training needs to be better. As a GreenKing Inn it came across that the owners relied on its history. The staff were all very young and keen but it really needs a true hotel professional touch. Being asked, when eating, ‘are you still going?” as opposed to ‘have you finished Sir’ was a prime example of poor staff training! They were lovely and it does not detract from a good stay. The whole property needs a good cash injection, there were lots of neglected areas, and more professional staff would make it an absolute goldmine. I wish I had the money!!

Liked: Very clean. All staff we engaged with friendly.. plenty of space to park when we were there. Good food in restaurant evening meal
Disliked: WiFi and phone reception in bedroom very poor.Room very clean but a bit "tired" needs refurbishment. Tap wonky, some trim coming away from bath.It might be nice to have a little history of the hotel in the room, it's obviously an old building/house.

Liked: The building was beautiful. We attended a wedding. The bed was comfortable and bedding clean.
Disliked: The staff weren't very welcoming on our first evening before the wedding. . 1 person on the bar . The room was very tired. Dirty. Artex coming off in the bathroom and mouldy. Cracked tiles, lamp had an electrical fault, the main door, the fire protection strip was hanging off. Unnattentive staff and unprofessional attitude from some members of staff.
