Liked: Lovely hotel super location. Stayed here before. Friendly staff on arrival . Lovely fresh wide range for breakfast . Our room.was dark but on a hot sunny day was perfect. Pillows are very hard I'm afraid. Bathroom floor got slippery and I fell out of the bath and knocked my leg.
Disliked: Our room looked tired and not as clean as I would expect.Staff on departure not quite as welcoming.

Liked: Friendly staff nothing too much trouble, comfortable room on the ground floor a plus for us oldies, breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from, the restaurant was outstanding we arrived on a Sunday so roast was on the menu definitely not to be missed.

Really enjoyed our short stay...

Liked: The location was perfect for what we wanted. Nice surroundings and nice to be on ground floor which is rare for when we go away. Loved the nice big bed and having hot chocolate in the room. The lady in reception was very helpful and welcoming.
Disliked: The hot breakfast was not up to standard. The fried eggs were rock hard. A full plate was brought out like this, they were more like hard boiled and I found the scrambled eggs very sloppy. The rest of the breakfast was nice though and a good selection.

Liked: The grounds. The room was comfortable and quiet.
Disliked: Room was described as 'with a garden view', but was in fact a brick wall. Only one bedside lamp worked. There was no receptionist around when we wanted to book out. We waited for 10 minutes and eventually had to just leave our room keys on the desk.
