Fabulous place to stay

Liked: Lovely rooms, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a large en suite with a great power shower. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with extra fresh milk and bottled water in a small fridge in the reception area that you can help yourself to.The menu for both breakfast and daytime/evening meals had lots of choices and the food was cooked to perfection, very generous portions too.Private parking is also available

Liked: Lovely rooms. Clean and fully equipped.
Disliked: Only downside is the stairs up to the rooms and that’s only because I travelled with elderly parents. Apart from that it was great.

One of my best stays

Liked: The accommodation at the Rose and Crown was excellent and could not be faulted. Well-appointed modern rooms with all the right touches; fresh coffee, tea, biscuits and bottled water. Wonderful bathroom and shower and a comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, sampling the fish and chips and home-made Cottage pie with a couple of pints of Butcombe bitter. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend.

Excellent in every way.

Liked: The Rose & Crown exceeded our expectations in every way including value for money. Excellent breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day to the extent that we did not eat again until dinner in the evening. Very good facilities in the bedrooms with real coffee and complimentary bottled water. The real ale in the bar was also kept in excellent condition. We will definitely book here again if we are going to the Poole area.
Disliked: Mobile data connection is not great which can affect paying taxi by card but there is free WiFi in the property so for personal use the mobile data is not an issue. The mobile data issue is of course not the establishments fault and is due to lack of mast cover I the area.

Liked: The best overnight location we have stayed in . A shower that actually worked as it should. Quiet, comfortable and modern. Great dinner and breakfast.
