Awful place - please avoid...

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: I really don't understand how places like Rosario still in business and why there are positive reviews. The place is simply awful - as you enter, you get into a cold old house which strikes you with a bad smell of age. The "superior" double room(#3) is old and tired, with old furniture, marks on the walls, cheap linen and fragile windows. The bathroom is even worse - the shower is so tiny so it doesn't fit someone who is heavier than 60kg. When I entered the room, the property manager surprised me that the heating is broken - obviously nobody warned me in advance. It was extremely unpleasant news - it was end of March in Marazion, cold, windy and raining. It was Easter break and there was nothing else available nearby so I was stuck there that night and barely slept - it was extremely freezing and windows were shaking the whole night from the strong winds. The security of this place is also very questionable - the room key opens the front door from the building which means you can open any guest room. I checked out the next morning (though originally booked 3 nights) and the manager refused to make any discount, rather arrogantly saying that he can't do anything about the heating as it was a Bank holiday and "it's not so cold outside". I paid GBP143 for this miserable stay and felt completely ripped off. Luckily there was a room available for the next 2 nights in a very nice hotel nearby - I paid exactly the same money per night there. The place has a bad reputation in the area - reception managers in two nearby hotels immediately understood why I want to change a hotel once I mentioned that I stayed in Rosario. Just don't stay here - it's a terrible place, complete rip off and there are much better options nearby.

Liked: Lovely place right next to the beach and facilities. Quick bus into town or very reasonable friendly taxi - info given by the owner. Absolutely lovely. Brilliant food at the Godolphin Inn opposite. Striking views of Marazion beach and at Michael's mount whilst I ate and drank. Will be staying again but will bring my pooch Hettie - small well behaved Border Terrier with me next time x

A lovely, homey atmosphere, and...

Liked: I especially enjoyed getting to chat with the proprietor. He was very kind, and gave me a nicer room than he originally intended as he had it free. He also was generous with sharing his dog Dolly with those who wanted some canine interaction, and the breakfast he cooked for me was lovely and just right.
Disliked: everything was fine

Homely B & B Excellent...

Liked: Excellent host, great freshly cooked to order breakfast, close proximity to all in Marazion.Older style house, homely feel, great small cafeteria next door with excellent home made food, staff took bags up to room, all the staff are wonderful and helpful, keep up the great work, wonderful place to stay
Disliked: No lift, only stairs but if taken slowly can manage, otherwise nothing. Building next door has scaffolding up which affects your view
