Quiet relaxing getaway, needs improvements

Liked: The location is very good. It’s been very quiet and relaxing. Parking is free. Amazing female waitress at dinner and very good barkeeper! Very nice clean deluxe room. Lots of towels. Lovely cleaning crew. Free bottle of water. Love the art for sale, I’m a big fan of Julia petersen.
Disliked: I feel like the Kieler Kaufmann is relying too heavily on its former heyday. The bathroom in our room for instance was very dated, from cracked tiles to missing pieces on pipes etc. showerhead was full of limescale. Water pressure was very low. Bushel of Hair found the shower (we do not have black hair). Room seems dated, needs renovating. Outdated telephone sockets. Breakfast bit disappointing, I’d expected more from previous stays.

Nice neighbourhood, green and quiet.

Liked: The hotel is in a very nice part of town, although a bit away from the centre. Breakfast was very good, the coffee is served to the table. There is a nice pool to relax after a working day. i would recommend this place a lot.
Disliked: The hotel more than met my expectations - nothing to complain about!

Liked: The room was adequate in that it was very clean but a bit dated. The amenities were great with ample storage. The room view upgrade was with a water and garden view but only seen briefly as we arrived late. However, 24 hour staff was much appreciated for late Checkin.What was absolutely amazing was the gourmet and dedication to their breakfast which was meticulously prepared by a team of chefs that was perhaps better in its inventiveness with beautiful presentation and variety than even the first rate hotels. The restaurant was top notch for breakfast and we wished we could have had dinner there. Location is superb near a wooded trail that leads to a overlook and to the harbor of masted boats.
Disliked: No explanation on how and where to use the coffee nespresso. The adapter for it was in the bathroom? but not where it was stored and no trays to bring it over. As the first of the German hotels, I couldn’t use it for much desired tea and coffee.
